Meet Our Directors of First Impressions

	Shenny Shenny is our office lead. She has been with NatureMedica almost from the beginning. Her tender heart and caring ways makes a difference in the lives of all of our patients. Shenny is our supplement whiz and will make sure you have exactly what you need when you leave your appointment. She multi-tasks like no one else while calmly keeping the patient her number one priority. Who would think Shenny was an aviation operations specialist in the army!

	Catherine Catherine is one of our office assistants. She has an infectious smile and will do everything in her power to make sure your visit at NatureMedica is one of the best parts of your day. Catherine is the enthusiastic voice that confirms your appointment the day before it is scheduled. She is also the one that makes sure your supplements get mailed out to you in a timely manner. She wants you to know that she is a native “New Yorker” and has the quick wit and fast talk to prove it!

	Claudia Claudia is one of our office assistants. She is the quiet force that keeps our office and spa ready for our patients when they walk through the door. Claudia is the one that sends you the new patient information packet with a personal note. Her gentleness helps make your visit extra comfortable. Claudia has a wonderful husband and two darling children.

	Pam Pam is the manager. Her welcoming face greets you when you are waiting for a spa service or wanting to make an appointment. She loves answering questions about our excellent skin care products, unique cleanses or our exceptional spa treatments. It is not unusual to see Pam giving clients a tour of our beautiful facility. She has been with Dr. Hiell since NatureMedica opened. Pam is committed to making sure your experience at NatureMedica is beyond your expectations.

Our Medical Support Team and Spa Professionals
	Rhonda LPN Rhonda is our nurse. She is the warm person who talks to you about your labs and makes sure all of your questions are answered in a thorough timely manner. Rhonda is always busy in the lab either giving shots or administers IV’s. She will make you feel comfortable even though you might be nervous about getting a shot. “I have been in the medical field for twelve years and enjoy helping patient’s get well.”

	Annie, Colon Hydrotherapist Annie is our colon hydrotherapist. She has an extraordinary ability to put all her patients at ease, even those experiencing their first colonic. Annie is a truly gifted colon hydrotherapist. Her passion is to help people get to the next place of wellness. Annie receives on going advanced training from Dr. Hiell (who was a colon hydrotherapist before she became a doctor). Annie is known for her gentle, nurturing techniques that help patients get amazing results!

	Erana Colon Hydrotherapist Erana (pronounced “ear-rahn-ah”) left the balmy breezes and unhurried lifestyle of Puerto Rico, where she was an accomplished colon therapist for several years, to venture to the desert Southwest . She joins our colon hydrotherapy team and brings with her a tender easy going style that creates a very comfortable, nurturing experience for each guest. Erana uses a unique massage style to help the colon with an effective release. She has had years of experience and loves helping people meet their health goals. Don’t be surprised if her enthusiasm about wheatgrass, vegikraut and nut milks rubs off on you!

	Susan Lymphatic Drainage Specialist Susan is our lymphatic drainage specialist. Her extremely specialized training in Germany coupled with her amazing natural talent makes her an extraordinary treasure to the patients at NatureMedica. Susan understands the body and how to create an environment of healing. When she is not giving lymphatic drainage you might find her giving a powerfully effective therapeutic massage, an anti-oxidant facial or reflexology. She is committed to you and your health on every level.

	Germaine IPL specialist Want to look younger? Germaine is the one who can make that happen! Her technical expertise coupled with her incredible “touch” will give you amazing results. She can eliminate age spots, sun damage and give you a natural face lift using Intense Pulse Light Therapy with radio frequency. Have unwanted cellulite? It’s Germaine to the rescue with our fabulous Elos ® Technology. Don’t be shy about asking Germaine about your skin. She loves helping people look better, naturally.

	Rita Acupuncturist There is nothing like 5 element acupuncture and there is no one like Rita! She is extraordinary on so many levels. Her gentle intuitive style will usher your body into a new place of wellness and balance. Rita has a deep understanding of the energy systems of the body establishing a powerful foundation to her approach to holistic acupuncture. She received her Masters of Acupuncture and Masters of Oriental Medicine. Rita has a passion for people. Her goal is to help them achieve the mind, body and emotional balance the body requires for good health.

	Lauren Massage Therapist, Esthetician Lauren is our massage therapist with the intuitive touch. Her massages always seem to have something a little extra added to help your body move into a healthier place. When she is not giving a massage you might find her giving someone an extraordinary facial, reflexology treatment or herbal body wrap. Lauren has a sweet soul and brings her amazing gentle energy to all of her clients.

Our Medical Doctors
	Dr. Judy Hiell Dr. Hiell is an extraordinary doctor! She is the one who will dig and dig until she uncovers the root of your health challenge. Her uncanny ability to hear important clues the patient gives her makes her an unmatchable detective. Dr. Hiell is warm, very approachable and completely dedicated to the health and well being of all her patients. She is not only loved by her patients, she is loved by her staff too! 	Dr. Uzick Doctor Michael Uzick received his doctorate of Naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University's prestigious Naturopathic medicine program in Seattle Washington. Prior to this he completed his pre-medical education at Queens College in New York. While in medical school he completed all of his internships in the field of cancer, training at Cancer Treatment Centers of American in Seattle, with leading Naturopaths specializing in cancer care, leading oncologists and at the Bio-Medical (Hoxey) clinic in Tijuana. His clinical training also included specialty shifts at Bastyr University's Immune Wellness clinic which is devoted to the care of patients with HIV/AIDS. Doctor Uzick has published articles on complementary medicine, both locally and nationally in the peer reviewed Journals "Integrative Cancer Therapies" and "Alternative Medicine Review." He is a frequent lecturer on alternative therapies for cancer, hepatitis C and environmental toxicity. Doctor Uzick is a member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OncANP) and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP). He served as the Naturopathic Medical Director for the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation (SAAF) for 4 years until resigning from the position in 2005. Currently Doctor Uzick is in private practice at NatureMedica in Tucson, Arizona and is an adjunct professor at Southwest Collage of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) in Tempe Arizona where he teaches Oncology to 4th year Naturopathic medical students.
